Seemed like a “whatever call” by Ivey. I honestly don’t think he had some
sort of a read on Mercier.

lol, he’s a “card player” commenting on youtube videos, about the pros no
less. Yes, they “gamble”, with better information than you have. Most
-people don’t get that these people at this level have an acute sense of
each other, whenever one is bluffing a bit more than usual, is being tight,
is donkeying off chips, etc. Couple that with knowing how to play
correctly, they make BIG money. BTW, you’re such a good “card player”, 99%
is worse than hitting a one outter. Where did you learn odds? lol

This actually looks more like Ivey made a bad call unless he had some read,
which it doesn’t seem like because he acts like he’s probably beat but
committed to call.

People who comment need to take one major fact into account: “This isn’t
real money. This is sponsor money. Go broke or win it all and you get paid
about the same.” There’s no way to determine if this was good playing or
not because they don’t have a lot invested.
